Dr. Surabhi Kumar joined Inman Park Animal Hospital in 2017.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Kumar received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University where she played Division 1 tennis. Determined to follow her veterinarian dreams - she moved to the south and attended Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kumar graduated from vet school in 2003 while also teaching tennis and working as a veterinary technician.
Her professional interests include senior pet care which led to a certification in small animal acupuncture through the Chi Institute. Pet acupuncture has allowed her to offer a better quality of life not only for senior pets but also for patients suffering from chronic ailments.
Dr. Kumar is married with two children, two dogs, and two cats. She is thrilled to be working at such a quaint neighborhood animal clinic in Atlanta as Inman Park Animal Hospital.
